A schoolgirl has made a remarkable recovery from a serious brain injury after being knocked down by a car on a city street.
Megan Thomson, 15, was rushed to hospital seriously injured with a fractured skull following the accident on Aberdeen's Bridge Street in January.
After spending 24 hours in a coma, the teenager woke up and discovered that she had lost the use of her legs and had suffered memory loss.
Even more worrying was the realisation that she couldn't feel the right half of her body.
She is now learning how to walk again properly after intense sessions of physiotherapy and is well on the way to recovery
