Scots swimmers made a splash yesterday (THUR) as a sports body became the first in the country to introduce an innovative new exercise class.
Sport Aberdeen is the first leisure organisation in Scotland to host Floatfit - where fitness fanatics can work out on water.
The novel 30-minute high intensity watery workout is for all ages and abilities and makes use of a unique inflatable exercise mat - known as the Aquabase.
Participants balance on the floating boards in the pool to perform a series of tricky exercises including burpees, lunges and squats.
The idea behind the concept, which has already caught on in London and the Netherlands, is to give a full body workout on a low impact surface.
